Financial support for SchoolsMost of the Deanery Synod's own financial efforts are directed at supporting the Church of England schools in the Deanery. For many years, every parish in the Deanery, with the help of Westminster Abbey and local charitable foundations, have donated many thousands of pounds each year to offset the costs to Church schools of maintaining their buildings.
Over the past ten years, over £175,000 has been raised by the Deanery this way. This appears to be a unique arrangement by a London deanery and a further sign of the value we place on our schools, children and families. You can find out more about church schools here. |
