Members of Deanery Synod
All members of clergy holding the Bishop's licence in the Deanery are members of the House of Clergy of the Deanery Synod.
Each parish also elects lay people to serve as members of the House of Laity of the Deanery Synod for a term of three years. The number of members each parish elects depends on the number of people on the parish's electoral roll. Clergy serving Royal Peculiars, universities, schools and other organisations which are situated in the Deanery are also members of Deanery Synod. A list of current members of the Deanery Synod can be downloaded by clicking here. Please advise the Diocese of any changes or corrections in Deanery Synod membership by the usual route. It's also worthwhile contacting us to let us know about changes directly. |
