VAT and Listed churches
Many listed churches are able to reclaim the VAT they incur on certain repairs to their buildings. The scheme is operated by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. It is called the Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme. As building works in central London can be particularly expensive, it is worth knowing about this scheme and making use of it whenever possible. Full details of the scheme, including explanations of what can be claimed for and how to make a claim are available online on the Scheme's website: http://www.lpwscheme.org.uk/ |
